Kendyl always knew she wanted to pursue a career involving children. Once a child in speech therapy herself, she empathizes with those she works with and strives to impart a lasting impression on the children and families she serves.
Kendyl graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baylor University with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She pursued a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in December of 2020. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
With graduate experiences in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI), pediatric imaging, stroke rehabilitation, feeding therapy, Telehealth, home health, and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), she has found a passion in pediatric therapy.
She is conversationally proficient in American Sign Language, CPR certified, and trained on various AAC systems. She has completed an Introduction to PROMPT Technique course and has received training by Registered Dental Hygienists on habit elimination and Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders. She has received training in an IAOM-approved Pre-Certification Introductory Course for Orofacial Myofunctional Professionals. She is familiar with a variety of curriculums including Social Thinking, SOS Approach to Feeding, Handwriting Without Tears, Story Grammar Markers, and more.
Kendyl has a passion for traveling and thoroughly enjoys hiking, biking, and volunteering at her local church. She would love to get to know your family and work with your child!
